The Rhyndale Railway is now half completed, but this means more work for the engines. Dennis is constantly complaining, much to Hank and Billy's dismay. The manager arrives and tells them their jobs, and they go to work. Soon, Dennis is at the quarry, and decides to be troublesome. He goes into a mine shaft, which Fergus told him not to do. He gets stuck, and has to be helped out by Billy. Then they all go home and the manager scolds Dennis, who just grumbles. But then all the engines have a good laugh and fall asleep.
